Telehealth and Online Psychology Services

Often referred to as telehealth psychology, online psychology is the provision of psychological services using telecommunication and data technology systems. Telepsychology has made access to therapy much easier, especially for those who are unable to visit a psychologist’s consulting rooms in person.

At RISE, we offer a professional and confidential telepsychology service so you can now access psychological care without leaving your home, using only a computer or smartphone connected to the Internet.​

Individual therapy

We are passionate about supporting individuals who struggle with anxiety, stress, mood, self-esteem, cultural and sexual identity issues, transition and adjustment, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, and communication. Each person has his or her own story, issues, and goals. We want to get to know you as a person and work with you to address the issues you want to overcome. Some common goals for individual therapy are developing skills and strategies to better cope with stress and worries, improving mood and communication skills, becoming more assertive, creating harmonious relationships, battling self-doubt and feelings of inadequacy, and living more authentic, congruent, and meaningful lives.

 

Couple's therapy​

We offer couple's therapy for opposite-sex and same-sex couples who experience difficulties (conflict, infidelity, intimacy, communication). We help couples to discover and develop new ways to listen and stay attuned to one another’s emotions to foster the creation of a secure bond between partners.

We use a method called Emotionally Focus Therapy for couples, a tested and proven short-term (8 to 20 sessions) couple's intervention that focuses on adult relationships and attachment/bonding and aims to re-organise key emotional responses.

Our approach

At Rise, we have a compassionate, person-centred and holistic approach, and our practice provides trauma-informed care. 

We believe there is no one size fits all approach when it comes to working with people, this is why our methods include frameworks of attachment theory, somatic (or body-based), mindfulness-based, and psychodynamic theories, and we draw on multiple therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples. We additionally integrate our practice with creative techniques based on the latest data from neuroscience, mindfulness studies, and positive psychology.
